Multilingual jobs are vacancies requiring fluency in English as well as business level fluency in at least two other languages.
Fluency, when we advertise jobs on behalf of clients, unless otherwise stated, means a business-level fluency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding of a language. This is crucial when discussing fluency in English, which is expected for all of our multilingual vacancies.
Our clients can often recruit for candidates with fluency in up to four languages including English. These types of roles will be responsible for a particular region or portfolio of clients from the relevant language speaking countries. Often, firms can save money by recruiting one candidate to cover three territories or multiple client accounts, rather than recruiting three candidates.
The demand for multilingual candidates varies across sectors. Within accounting roles for example, multilingual credit control jobs may deal with the collection of invoices across several client regions. The same can be said of import and export language jobs. Across every skill set, there are UK companies looking for candidates with fluent English and fluency in two or more foreign languages.
When recruiting for multilingual candidates, many of our clients turn to us first before advertising the role themselves or briefing other language recruitment agencies. Our first approach is to search our vast database of language speakers for candidates who are fluent in the required languages, combined with having the required level of commercial expertise and experience. In order for your details to appear first in our search, you must register with us.
For every language recruitment project, we aim to supply the best candidates available for the client’s specified requirements. If we are unable to source at least three top-talent candidates from searching our database, we will write and advertise a job description, outlining the language fluency and skills we are looking for.
